Southwest University “Neofit Rilski”
The Southwest University “Neofit Rilski ” (SWU) is a state University offering education in both Bulgarian and English language in 71 bachelor, 100 master and 74 doctor programs.
With its 40 years of history, SWU has achieved a notable place in the educational and scientific area of Bulgaria and Southeast Europe.
The University comprises 40 departments and more than 800 lecturers – professors, assistant professors and assistants, who ensure modern education in scientific, artistic and athletic activities according to the spirit of the Bulgarian education traditions and European standards of about 11 500 students, 700 of which are foreign students.
SWU will participate in CC HITMOBIL with the existing Innovation Center for Eco Energy Technologies (ICEET) which offers profiled education of student and PhD students and carries out applied research for development of new technologies for storage and utilization of renewable energy sources as well as development of microbial fuel and electrolysis cells.
