Presentation of the CC “HITMOBIL”
The CoC “HITMOBIL” was presented to participants in the international project “Studies on the Applicability of Alternative Energy Sources”.
On 25 November 2025, at IEES-BAS, the leading organisation of the CC “HITMOBIL”, a group of students and teachers from specialised schools in Kladno, Czech Republic, and Nogent-sur-Oise, France, were welcomed, together with their partners from the Vocational High School of Ecology and Biotechnology “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov” in Sofia. The visit was part of the international project “Studies on the Applicability of Alternative Energy Sources” under the Erasmus+ mobility programme.
During the introductory session on the institute’s research themes, special emphasis was placed on the infrastructural project - the Center of Competence “HITMOBIL” - with an overview of its mission, goals, organisational structure, and recent achievements. Through a presentation rich in visual materials, the guests were introduced to the large-scale field laboratory “Integrated Energy Systems”.
During the tour of IEES-BAS, the visitors were shown the equipment and demonstrations carried out in the Center’s “Batteries” and “Hydrogen and Fuel Cells” laboratories. The students learned about the principles of producing and using green hydrogen and how the institute’s “green office” was built. They spoke with the researchers about trends in the development of electrochemical power sources and their role in the utilisation of energy from renewable sources. Before leaving the institute, the group was shown the hydrogen-powered electric vehicle that the CoC “HITMOBIL” uses for research purposes.
The visit provided the students with an opportunity to explore modern energy technologies and to gain insight into the role of the CC “HITMOBIL” in advancing and implementing innovations in the field of renewable energy sources.
